What you will be learning
Workshop 1 – Your Wellbeing
In this workshop you will learn effective stress management techniques that you can implement within the working environment – both for yourself and other staff members. You will also learn key time management and professional development strategies to ensure you are able to perform your tasks to the best of your ability.
Workshop 2 – Relationships and inclusion
This workshop is based around identifying and understanding workplace diversity, as well as how you, as a manager, can lead a diversified workforce. You will also learn how to support and encourage inclusion within the workforce, and how this can have a positive impact on the overall business.
Workshop 3 – Effective Leadership
Strong communication skills, and having the ability to articulate values and standards, are key for effective management. This workshop will teach you these skills, along with how to develop team cohesion and how to make informed decisions that demonstrate good judgment.
Workshop 4 – Coaching and mentoring
This workshop will allow you to develop the skills required in order to monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members while providing beneficial and constructive feedback on a continuous basis. You will also learn how to identify opportunities for coaching and mentoring within the work team to ensure that all staff have relevant and beneficial skillsets.
Workshop 5 – Improvement and change management
Monitoring and analysing performance data to identify opportunities, and then using the data to implement operational plans within a team to achieve business targets are part of manager’s daily duties. This workshop will teach you not only how to effectively analyse data and implement plans, but also how to encourage and role model innovative thinking to your team as well as how to collaborate with others in a cross-functional team.
Workshop 6 – The Skilled Presenter
This workshop is based around how to write effective and meaningful presentations, as well as how to present in an engaging manner. You will learn how to use communication skills to present confidently as well as how to enhance presentation structure and recall of information with effective tools.
Smart and Skilled
If you are eligible for Smart and Skilled funding, the New South Wales government will subsidise some of the cost of your course.

Fee for service
If you are not eligible for Smart and Skilled funding, the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management will cost $5790.00.
Southern Solutions BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is available as a traineeship. When completing a traineeship, you will undertake paid employment, on either a full-time or part-time basis, while also setting aside time each week to focus on completing your required course work as well as undertaking practical observations with your trainer.
Traineeship are subsidised by the NSW and SA government, for eligible students. If eligible for a traineeship there will be a co-contribution fee of $1000. The course will be full subsidies by the government.
