Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care covers the fundamentals of childhood development, caring for children, and planning leisure and play activities, all focused on the child’s development.

CHC30113 Sydney Course Features

  • 120 hours’ work experience
  • 6-12 months for completion
  • Full-time and part-time training available
  • 15 core units
  • 3 electives
The Certificate III qualification is made up of 15 core units and 3 electives. Competency in all units must be achieved to successfully complete the certification.

The course is completed through on-the-job, observed training, as well as classroom-based training in our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane facilities.

If you are eligible for Smart and Skilled funding, you will pay the following course fee:

  • $1590 if this is your first qualification
  • $1910 if this is your second qualification

The remainder of the fees are subsidised by the NSW Government.

If you are not eligible for the Smart and Skilled funding, the fee is $6,540.

The delivery method will depend on the individual needs of the student: it can be delivered in classrooms or through one-on-one training sessions.. Throughout the course, students will be assessed using at least two forms of the assessment types mentioned below:

  • RPL/RCC
  • Detailed and Verifiable Resume
  • Third Party

We actively tailor training for people from diverse backgrounds and those with disabilities, and encourage everyone to enrol in our childcare courses.

The course is delivered through classroom-based training as well as a work placement component of a minimum of 120 hours.

You should allow between six and 12 months to complete this qualification, however the duration is dependent on whether you are undertaking full-time or part-time training, as well as how much time you have available to participate in work experience.

The course can also be delivered on the job where our qualified trainer and assessors come out to visit you and assist you with your learning.
